I wanted to touch on a few aspects concerning healing the brain. There are collections of symptoms that, in our day and age, are considered diagnoses (Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Lupus,
Epilepsy), but what we often forget to look for is the root cause. It comes down to detoxing metals and chemicals, ridding the body of immune challenges, and repairing the myelin sheath. If it is an autoimmune condition, we look at gut-restoring supplements to heal the gut lining, improve digestion, and balance the microbiome. However, how can we fully recover if we do not handle our environment, clean it up, and discover the contributing factors that continually bombard the brain?

Allergies are typically a symptom of gut dysfunction or the need for a liver detox. When one of your channels of elimination is not functioning at optimum, it can clog the drainage funnel, causing a back-up with the liver. Bowel, liver/kidney, and lymph are at the bottom end of this funnel (listed from the bottom up).
Think of the liver like a bucket. If the bucket is only ¼ full, and you add additional toxins to that bucket, no problem! But if the bucket is full, a small amount will cause it to overflow into the bloodstream, resulting in a histamine response. Allergies. What should we call this year’s stuffy nose and upper respiratory congestion immune challenge? How about SNURCIC (pronounced snur’-kik). Sounds fitting, as we KICK this thing to the curb!
You know I’m not an MD, so I can’t legally give recommendations for the immune challenge that comes around every year in a new and varied form about this time November…December…. And what I do with muscle testing is not a diagnostic tool. If you need to absolutely know for sure, then go to urgent care and have them check for it. But you know which immune challenge I’m talking about. So many people are getting it, so it is time for a new blog for a new year. The only thing the medical community has for this is Tamiflu…and the side effects that go along with that can make you feel like you have the abdominal vomiting version. SNURCIC is a real doozer this year. And there is not just one strain (found 2 so far). Let’s look at a simple protocol to root out the cause and help you feel better more quickly. I, personally took this on day one, and I was better in 2 days. If I hadn’t, I am positive I would’ve ended up like everyone else with the upper respiratory lung and bronchial involvement, and a cough that lasts for weeks. Here it ‘tis for winter ‘22-23, the SNURCIC protocol: Cataplex AC 8-15 per day Antronex 6-10 per day (Both Standard Process) That’s it! That is all you need usually. Spread it out into 3 doses, daily. If you let it go too long before starting the SNURCIC protocol, and end up with a bad cough, then you may need these additional remedies: Pulmonest (MarcoPharma) 30-40 drops 3-4 times a day (in 4-8 ounces of water) – clears the mucus out of the lungs and bronchi. Fen-Gre (Standard Process) 3-6 per day (watch bowels, most people are constipated so taking this much fenugreek is fine, however if you’re like me, I had to limit it) – fenugreek thins mucus secretions in the sinuses, lungs, and bronchi. Congaplex (Standard Process) 3-6 per day (if your nose starts running, back off on this one) – for sinuses and stuffy nose, also contains a little bit of Cataplex AC. The reason I use Standard Process so much, especially in cases like this, is because it heals the body so quickly. Some have needed additional Zinc, Rose hips, Iodine, Quercetin, GOLD, or Broncafect because they didn’t call me when they first began having symptoms and ended up really sick. If you have the high spiking fever with this, you can take Feverfew or Calcium Lactate to bring it down to a manageable range. A low grade fever can be a good thing to work through once a year, as it will detox you from some of the junk you came into contact with this past year. Remember Cataplex AC and Antronex are whole food. You can’t really over-dose on them. They are nutrition to help heal the body and support the immune system. Cataplex AC is the perfect ratio of echinacea and vitamin C to help push the Echinacea in. Antronex is a liver fat extract that flushes the immune challenge out of the liver/gallbladder where it likes to hang out. If these two are taken upon onset of symptoms, often you can handle it pretty quickly. I’ve tried piecing together echinacea and vitamin C to replace the Cataplex AC and it never works as well. Why? Because there is more in Cataplex AC than just those 2 ingredients. I’ve had people take a handful of Antronex at first onset of symptoms, like 6 of them in one sitting, and it completely flushes it out before it can take hold! One last thought… if you are sick, stay home and rest! Everyone is getting sick, and it’s just common courtesy to get better before you rejoin the work group, the school group, or touching things and putting them back at the grocery store. [If you are celiac, you won’t want to take Cataplex AC as it does contain a minute amount of gluten. I recommend either Viranon as a replacement at 6-8 per day, or try the homeopathic blend called Flu-Tone, 1 dropper periodically throughout the day when it feels like the prior dose is wearing off.] Contact our office to stock up, because sooner or later SNURCIC will be knocking at your door! Muscle testing is communication between the practitioner and a client’s body. What I find that day as a priority is the body’s communication with the client that it is getting stuck healing a particular organ or system or attempting a detox that is getting backed up. So, when we find a solution to this function deficiency, it’s the body saying, “Yes, I would like that nutrient right now!” It doesn’t mean, “let’s wait a week or two.” The limbic system is like a 2-year-old. You don’t give a 2-year-old a toy and then take it away again. Or say to a 2-year-old, “wanna go get an ice cream?” And then not take him there. The 2-year-old will cry or scream when you are inconsistent with your behaviors. Just like the 2-year-old, the body will do the same thing. It will get upset if you don’t give it the nutrient you just offered to correct the nutrient deficiency or toxin overload. Do you know how important you are? That’s the question that comes to mind when I work with the women in my practice. 95% of my practice is women. Men, don’t get me wrong, you’re extremely important too. But I think women tend to take care of everyone in their household and sometimes extended family. They are typically holding a career and often juggling 20 plates at the same time. Women often set aside their own needs in order to take care of others.
I encourage you to make the time to cook real food for yourself. Why? Because you are important. You’re worth it. And if you don’t keep yourself healthy with good wholesome food, something will give, and you’ll spiral downward. And at that point, how will you take care of your family or keep the stress level in check? You may wonder why I substitute some of the below ingredients in "healthy" recipes I find online. You may be surprised that some foods commonly considered as a healthy alternative, actually are not all that helpful. I love experimenting in the kitchen with new ideas, which keeps me from becoming bored with mundane meals and snacks. And I like to make sure I’m using ingredients that heal my body. Food and Water. They seem so essential and the most misunderstood. We’ve heard all our lives “drink plenty of water” …and “eat your vegetables.” But how many of us do that? Have we heard these phrases so much that they are commonplace enough to dismiss them? This is a complicated question, because…mold is tricky. Oftentimes a client has many different symptoms that are seemingly unrelated at first glance. This is why it is so difficult for people to recognize it as a mold problem, because it can be explained away as allergies, Parkinson’s, ALS, MS, generalized chronic fatigue syndrome, thyroid, Lupus. In addition, mold is usually behind the walls, not visible. It’s hard to get an accurate test. They often come back clean or inconclusive.
Upon digging a little deeper, we can assess whether these symptoms could be coming from mold toxicity. If, by muscle testing your body energetically, we find mold frequencies, then we take it to the next step. A mycotoxin test is needed to determine whether you are having difficulty clearing the mold toxins from the body. This is a genetic issue. Some of us can’t clear the toxins fast enough. |
