Flu Season Is Here

​Flu season is in full swing the past 2 weeks!
 
The length of time you spend in bed, can be greatly reduced by supporting the body’s natural immune and drainage responses. Did you know that nutrition can bang those symptoms out in no time?  There is no need to be sick longer than a couple days, and these supplements can help to boost your immune system to handle these situations QUICKLY.
 
There are several homeopathics to help with these symptoms, but this round of it, people seem to be doing well with: OSCILLOCOCCINUM (big word, I know) – sometimes I take a full vial or I might take in smaller doses. I take it any time I’m feeling crappy again. This one is GREAT for kids, because they are sweet tiny pellets. They can’t choke on them, and they taste like SUGAR!

Oftentimes, you don’t need anything more than the Oscillococcinum. 

The standard process protocol is:
Cataplex AC – for the immune system
Antronex – drains junk out of the liver (these things like to hang out in the liver 😉)

​​I take these together - a handful of Cataplex AC with a couple Antronex, and then I like to add in some ELDERBERRY SYRUP sometimes!

FEN-GRE for mucus when you have flu

​If there is any type of bronchi or lung component to my symptoms, I follow it up with these nutrients that my body needs to heal and flush things out FAST:
PULMONEST – helps with those nagging, rattly coughs – this one works QUICKLY!
FEN-GRE – if you need to thin mucus secretions
 
Make sure your VITAMIN D level is UP! In Michigan, we’ve had a lot of time indoors the past 2 months, so get outside every time it’s sunny, and supplement with Vitamin D3. If you’re having symptoms, then ramp it up to 10,000 IU’s, and take one that also has Vitamin K2 in it for optimum absorption.
 
Vitamin C and Zinc can help too, but just taking those alone will not reduce the time frame of the symptoms.
 
And of course, eat lower carb foods to starve it out! Organic and grass-fed meats/proteins, organic veggies, organic/grass-fed fats like butter, avocado, and coconut oil.
 
You got this! If you need anything at all, I’m here to look at things from a slightly different angle when needed. I love to check people when they are feeling under the weather, because those are the times when we tend to find deeper layers of healing and drainage that the body is trying to work on, that might not show up in a regular visit.
